It is always a unique experience of watching movies in this cinema, a heritage-listed building. Don't expect high picture quality and sound standard but I can say the ticket is worth every penny you spend. The staff are nice and friendly and will always help you.
An absolutely amazing old theatre right in the heart of Brisbane, some of the cinemas are on the smaller side but that was so lovely, as it was a very exclusive feeling experience, amazing modern leather recliners with snack tables and drink holders, sound and audio were top notch too.
I'd recommend anyone to go and experience The Elizabeth for your next movie fix 🍿
UNIQUE Cinema, the environment is very rare and I love the retro style. Even space is not large, but it has good privacy and the seats are very comfortable.
We had a wonderful experience at Elizabeth Five Stars Cinema. The theatre was stunning, and the customer service was top-notch. We were excited to watch a rare Hong Kong-produced movie, which only Five Star Cinema in Brisbane was showing. However, there was a technical issue preventing the movie from being displayed. A kind staff member promptly apologized and informed us that a remote technician was working on the problem. Despite the initial setback, the staff kept us informed about the progress and even offered us free popcorn as a gesture of goodwill. As we waited for over an hour, the staff continued to update us on the situation and provided refund options. While we were disappointed to miss the movie, we truly appreciated the staff's helpfulness, transparency, and dedication to making the best of a challenging situation.
Very odd art house cinema buried inside other buildings. Rather a rabbit warren to get into a out of. Good auditorium, seating, sound and screen. Worth a visit for unusual movies.
Just had my first experience at this beautiful theatre. A gorgeous place to go watch a movie, enjoy some food and fabulous wines and excellent service. We need to support venues like this! A great night out.
I appreciate and love the decor of this cinema, the old school movie posters, the stunning bar and the high ceilings. I got to enjoy a film in one of their royal rooms, similar experience to being in a friend's cinema room, just with strangers. Staff are very friendly.
They only accept eftpos. While we were waiting for the movie two young girls came after being dropped off by mum. They only had a $50 note and were told they couldn't buy a ticket with cash. No good parent would give there young child their CC. The cinema says its kid friendly it's NOT. If we weren't there to pay using our CC they don't know what they would have done. Cash is King.
